This certificate prepares students for positions with professional nurseries and garden centers, as well as various retail outlets selling plants and landscape supplies. Curriculum is focused on plant identification, residential home and garden design, plant care, and knowledge of associated fertilizers and chemicals used to install and maintain landscapes and gardens. Appropriate sales techniques and etiquette are also addressed.
