CONSTRUCTION CRAFT LABORER

40 Semester Hours

Construction Craft LaborerThis certificate requires 40 credit hours of technical-related classroom/lab instruction, along with a minimum requirement of 3,000 hours of on-the-job-training. While students are not required to complete this certificate for employment consideration, individuals who do so can expect to be given preference when being considered for advancement.

Students desiring to enroll in the program will be required to complete the selection process established by the Illinois Laborers’ and Contractors’ Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program (ILCJTP) and the admission process of JWCC. The process follows Department of Labor (DOL) guidelines and federal and state laws regulating admission into registered apprenticeship programs.
